Amsterdam, May 28, 2025: Antonio Filosa has been named the new CEO of Stellantis N.V., with effect from June 23, 2025, the company announced today. Filosa has been with the company for 25 years and is currently the Chief Quality Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Americas.
After a thorough internal and external search conducted by a special committee headed by executive chairman John Elkann, Filosa was unanimously chosen by the Stellantis Board of Directors. Filosa was the obvious choice to guide the company into its next stage of expansion and change because of his broad international experience, profound operational knowledge, and strong leadership abilities.
“Being named CEO of this amazing company is a great honour for me,” Filosa said. “I am convinced that we will continue to provide excellence and spur innovation for our clients around the globe thanks to our recognisable brands, rich history, and the commitment of our people,” he added
John Elkann stated, “Antonio is well-suited for this position due to his extensive knowledge of our company, including its people, which is our greatest asset, and our industry.” “His ability to drive organisational excellence and deliver strong results has been demonstrated by his leadership across North and South America, especially during challenging times.”
Filosa led Stellantis to market leadership as Chief Operating Officer of South America, leveraging brands such as FIAT, Jeep®, Peugeot, Citroën, and Ram. He played a key role in the opening of the Pernambuco plant, which is currently one of the biggest automotive hubs in South America, as well as the introduction of Jeep® in Brazil, which is currently the brand’s largest domestic market. He grew the brand internationally as CEO of Jeep®, with models such as the Jeep Avenger driving sales in Europe.

Since being appointed COO of the Americas in December 2024, Filosa has strengthened U.S. operations, streamlined inventory, introduced new powertrains, and improved stakeholder engagement, among other strategic initiatives.
Filosa will be put forward for election as an executive director at a future Extraordinary Shareholder Meeting and will be given CEO authority as of June 23. He will announce Stellantis’ new leadership team as soon as he takes over.
The appointment was unanimously supported by board members, including Vice Chairman Robert Peugeot and Nicolas Dufourcq, CEO of Bpifrance, who cited Filosa’s extensive industry knowledge and track record.
