New Delhi, July 19, 2026: Kia India has unveiled the Syros EV, its second mass-market electric vehicle, combining a segment-leading ARAI-certified range of 526 km with an ownership package designed to address key EV adoption concerns. The Syros EV is available with 51.4 kWh and 42 kWh battery options, offering certified ranges of 526 km and 443 km, respectively. Powered by a 171 PS electric motor, the SUV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.1 seconds and supports 100 kW DC fast charging, enabling a 10–80% charge in just 39 minutes. It also features battery conditioning, regenerative braking with i-Pedal, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), and a 10.8 kW onboard AC charger.
To enhance ownership confidence, Kia is offering a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, an Assured Buyback programme, and Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing, aimed at reducing concerns around battery life, resale value, and upfront ownership costs. The Syros EV is backed by Kia’s K-Charge ecosystem, which integrates access to over 20,300 charging points across 23 charging operators, supported by 129+ Kia dealerships with DC fast chargers and 275+ EV-ready workshops nationwide.
Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV features EV-specific styling, a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, connected car technology with 95+ Kia Connect features, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon audio system, and a 16-litre front trunk. Safety features include Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous driving assistance functions, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor, all-wheel disc brakes, and 25 standard safety features.
Commenting on the launch, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO, Kia India, said the Syros EV reflects Kia’s vision of making advanced electric mobility more accessible by combining long driving range, strong performance, and a worry-free ownership experience. He added that the company’s comprehensive ownership package is designed to help more Indian customers confidently transition to electric mobility.
