Mumbai, September 28, 2026: Tata Power EZ Charge has strengthened its electric vehicle charging infrastructure in Mumbai with the commissioning of a new charging hub at New Mahakali Nagar, Malvani, Malad West. The new facility is designed to cater to both private EV owners and fleet operators, adding greater charging accessibility in one of Mumbai’s busy western suburbs. The charging hub features eight dedicated parking bays and four high-capacity fast chargers. These include one 120kW charger and three 60kW chargers, with the latter capable of being upgraded to 120kW. All four chargers support the CCS2 charging standard and are equipped with an auto-charging feature, aimed at simplifying the charging process for EV users.
The facility operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is available to both public and fleet EV users. Tata Power has also stated that users will not have to pay separate parking charges while using the facility. Its location in proximity to Mindspace Business Park and Infinity Mall is expected to make the hub accessible to daily commuters, employees, commercial establishments and fleet operators operating in and around Malad.
The latest installation takes Tata Power EZ Charge’s charging network in Maharashtra to more than 2,400 charging points, including over 1,800 charging points across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The expansion comes as the adoption of electric vehicles continues to increase, creating demand for charging infrastructure that can serve both individual motorists and commercial EV fleets.
The company is also integrating digital services into its charging network. Through the Tata Power EZ Charge app, users can locate charging stations, check charger availability and make digital payments. This allows EV owners to plan charging stops and access information on charger availability before reaching a station.
At the national level, Tata Power EZ Charge has established a broader charging ecosystem comprising more than 2.5 lakh home chargers, 6,500 public and captive charging points, and 1,200 electric bus charging points. The network currently spans more than 700 cities and towns and serves over 7 lakh registered customers.
The company’s latest Malad facility adds another fast-charging location to Mumbai’s growing EV infrastructure, with its combination of multiple charging bays, high-capacity chargers and 24/7 operation aimed at supporting the needs of both private and commercial electric mobility users.
