The EV-specific tubeless tyres are designed and developed by engineers at the Raghupati Singhania Centre of Excellence (RPSCOE).
JK Tyre is the latest to introduce a complete line of EV-specific Smart radial tyres for buses, trucks, LCVs, SUVs, two-wheelers and passenger automobiles.

According to him, the company’s priority remains development of EV-oriented technology in light of the growth of the EV industry in India. He said, “Our smart tyres are created with a next-generation design philosophy that is EV-specific, making the entire range smarter, quieter, more durable, and more energy efficient.”
The technology used promises ultra-low rolling resistance and better wet and dry traction, making it more durable and consuming less energy. The tread pattern has been made using sophisticated Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations to reduce noise levels and enhance wear features.
