New Delhi, July 23, 2026: Kia India has launched the Syros EV, its second made-in-India mass-market electric vehicle, at an introductory price of ₹13.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 42 kWh variant and ₹16.99 lakh for the 51.4 kWh Extended Range version. Sales begin across India on July 30. The Syros EV combines a best-in-segment ARAI-certified range of up to 526 km with an ownership package designed to ease EV adoption. Customers benefit from a Lifetime High Voltage Battery Warranty, an industry-leading Assured Buyback programme offering up to 80% resale value after three years, and a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) financing model that lowers the initial purchase cost.
The electric SUV is available with 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery packs, delivering certified ranges of 443 km and 526 km, respectively. The larger battery produces 171 PS and enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 8.1 seconds. It also supports 10-80% DC fast charging in just 39 minutes using a 100 kW charger. Built on Kia’s reinforced K1 platform, the Syros EV features EV-specific technologies such as regenerative braking with i-Pedal, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), Battery Heating System, Shift-by-Wire, and a Virtual Engine Sound System (VESS). Kia has also expanded its charging ecosystem through K-Charge, which integrates access to over 20,300 charging points across 23 charging operators via the MyKia app. The network is supported by 129+ dealerships with DC fast chargers, 275+ EV-ready workshops, and more than 900 customer touchpoints across 400 cities.
Inside, the Syros EV offers a 30-inch Trinity Panoramic Display, Kia Connect 2.0, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon premium audio, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 16-litre frunk. Safety features include Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous functions, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and a suite of 25 standard safety features. Available in seven variants, the Syros EV comes with nine exterior colour options and multiple interior themes, further strengthening Kia’s growing electric vehicle portfolio in India.
