Mumbai, August 21, 2025:Mahindra & Mahindra is breaking industry convention with its latest move: introducing Dolby Atmos in a compact SUV priced under ₹12 lakh. The newly launched XUV 3XO REVX A becomes the world’s first SUV in this price bracket to feature the premium surround-sound technology, reshaping expectations for in-car entertainment in the mainstream market.
What was once reserved for luxury cars is now reaching a broader base of Indian consumers. By embedding high-fidelity immersive sound into its sub-₹12 lakh offering, Mahindra is not just enhancing the driving experience—it’s democratizing advanced in-cabin technology for the everyday user.
As India continues its shift toward intelligent, tech-forward mobility, innovations like these signal that the country’s automotive and electric vehicle (EV) industry is maturing fast—and is poised to lead on a global stage. For players like Mahindra, the focus is clearly on accessibility without compromise.
The XUV 3XO REVX A leads this evolution, but it’s not alone. Three more variants—AX5L, AX7, and AX7L—will also feature Dolby Atmos, with deliveries beginning mid-September 2025. “At Mahindra, we are driven by the vision of democratising advanced innovations to make them accessible to a wider range of customers,” said R Velusamy, President – Automotive Business (Designate), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. “With the XUV 3XO, we are proud to set a significant milestone by introducing Dolby Atmos starting with the sub ₹12 lakh SUV – XUV 3XO REVX A—a global first that redefines in-cabin audio with immersive sound for a larger group of general consumers, transforming every journey.”
The REVX A features a six-speaker layout, precision-tuned to complement the SUV’s interior architecture. Meanwhile, the top-end AX7L variant gets an additional subwoofer to deliver punchier bass and cleaner sound detail.
With Gaana streaming built in, users can enjoy Dolby Atmos Music right from the infotainment system—no extra setup required. “We believe great sound should be available to everyone, everywhere,” said Karan Grover, Senior Director, Commercial Partnerships – IMEA, Dolby Laboratories. “By turning the cabin into a personalised concert on wheels, we’re transforming how people experience their everyday drive. This is a significant moment in our journey as we continue to push boundaries of in-cabin entertainment.”
The XUV 3XO becomes the fourth Mahindra vehicle series to offer Dolby Atmos, after the BE 6, XEV 9e, and Thar ROXX. Dolby Atmos in a sub-₹12 lakh SUV isn’t just an audio upgrade; it is proof that the future of driving will be immersive, intelligent, and inclusive. With technology like this reaching everyday vehicles, it’s clear: India’s mobility revolution isn’t on the horizon; it has already hit the road.
