Energy storage has emerged as a key technology for the transformation of electricity systems and the reduction of carbon emissions around the world. Global energy storage production is expected to increase 20-fold by 2040. A booming electric vehicle market for India preludes economic growth for this sector including the startups working towards it. While India has gained stature as one of the fastest-growing markets for advanced energy storage technology, it is going to need more energy storage than any other country for its ambitious renewable push, to ensure stable, reliable, and quality power for all the consumers.
