Bangalore, 11 August 2025: Uber, in partnership with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), has launched dedicated premium pickup zones for Uber Black and Uber Comfort at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. This marks the first Uber Black airport pickup experience in India, offering faster access and enhanced amenities for travellers.
The premium zones at Terminals 1 and 2 are designed to improve connectivity between flights and ground transport. Riders booking Uber Black or Uber Comfort can now access trained on-ground support staff, water dispensers, charging stations, a staffed helpdesk kiosk, and high-rated drivers with well-appointed vehicles.
“This collaboration reflects our continued focus on offering premium, tech-enabled and rider-first solutions at India’s leading airports,” said Arnab Kumar, Director, Business Development, Uber India and South Asia. “With the introduction of Uber Black Pickup zones for Uber Black and Uber Comfort, we are enhancing the travel experience from the moment passengers step out of the terminal.”

Uber, which began operations in India in 2013, is now available in 125 cities, facilitating over 3 billion trips. The company supports more than one million Indians in earning a sustainable income through its platform.
Kempegowda International Airport closed FY 2024–25 with 41.88 million passengers and 502,480 metric tonnes of cargo, maintaining its position as South India’s busiest airport and India’s top perishable cargo hub for the fourth consecutive year.
