PUNE, 3rd September, 2025: In a bold move to redefine manufacturing standards in India’s electric vehicle (EV) sector, Kinetic Engineering Ltd. has inaugurated its advanced Robotic Chassis Line at the company’s Ahilya Nagar facility. Designed to power the production of the Kinetic DX Electric Scooter, the fully automated line integrates robotic welding, precision fixtures, and advanced sub-assembly systems to boost efficiency, safety, and product consistency—marking a pivotal leap in the company’s commitment to innovation and manufacturing excellence.
The new line improves manufacturing precision and efficiency while enhancing safety. Robotic welding ensures superior structural integrity with repeatable accuracy. Clamping auto fixtures and a specialized scooter framing cell further streamline assembly processes. These innovations reduce errors and raise productivity, helping Kinetic Engineering deliver consistently high-quality electric scooters.
Alongside the Robotic Chassis Line, the facility has been upgraded in multiple ways. The metal body panel line now includes hydraulic and mechanical presses, spot welding guns, and pneumatic clamping fixtures to boost production quality and reliability. The paint shop has been modernized with a seven-tank process featuring Cathodic Electrodeposition coating followed by a metallic topcoat. This advanced process ensures world-class corrosion resistance and a premium finish.
The company has also digitized its parts storage system. Individual gauges for every part and kit-based supply aligned with sub-assembly requirements streamline inventory management and support smoother line operations. These upgrades highlight Kinetic Engineering’s commitment to integrating automation, precision, and sustainability into its manufacturing.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering Limited, said, “The future of manufacturing belongs to companies that can seamlessly integrate automation, precision, and sustainability into their processes. With the inauguration of our Robotic Chassis Line, we are not just upgrading a facility, we are reimagining how manufacturing should be done in India. This move positions us to deliver unmatched consistency and reliability, while also setting a benchmark for how automation can transform traditional industries. At Kinetic, we see this as part of a larger shift where Indian manufacturing stands shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world.”
