Mauritius, April 17, 2026 SWITCH Mobility, part of the Hinduja Group, has delivered 100 electric buses to the Government of Mauritius—marking India’s largest-ever electric bus export and a defining moment in India–Mauritius collaboration on clean mobility.The final batch of 90 buses was handed over by India’s External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, to Mauritius Prime Minister, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, underscoring the strength of this strategic partnership. Procured through Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), India, the buses will be operated by the National Transport Corporation (NTC), Mauritius’ state-run transport authority.
Delivered under a government-to-government initiative, the fleet is a grant from the Government of India—fast-tracking Mauritius’ shift to sustainable, future-ready public transport. Built for modern urban transit, the SWITCH EiV12 combines robust engineering with intelligent technology to deliver reliability, efficiency, and superior passenger comfort. With seating for up to 45 passengers, the buses meet global standards for safety and performance. Powered by SWITCH iON, the company’s proprietary telematics platform, they enable real-time monitoring, smarter fleet management, and optimized operations. Floor-mounted LFP batteries enhance stability, while a dual-gun rear charging system ensures faster turnaround and seamless depot operations.
