Registering 276% year-on-year growth, Tata Motors sold 3,845 EVs in India in August 2022
The home-grown car and EV maker had sold only 1,022 units in the same period last year. However, looking at month-on-month, the firm's sales declined by 4.4% in August 2022 compared 4,022 units in July this year, its best sales registered so far.
With three models – the Nexon EV, Tigor EV and the fleet-only XPres-T EV – Tata Motors is aggressive in its approach towards its EV portfolio. About 10 new EVs are reported to be launched in the next few years.
