GURUGRAM, 11th September, 2025 :India’s transition to electric mobility gained another significant milestone with JSW MG Motor India announcing that its EV charging platform, eHub by MG app, has crossed 100,000 downloads. This surge in adoption highlights the country’s increasing confidence in sustainable transportation and signals a bright future for electric mobility sector in India.
The app has quickly become an essential digital companion for electric vehicle (EV) users across the country. Built with interoperability and convenience at its core, the eHub by MG app connects EV owners to a network of over 12,500 fast-charging points across India. This has been made possible through strategic partnerships with 33 leading charge point operators, including Jio-BP pulse, Shell, Adani, Chargezone, Zeon, Statiq, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
Open to EV users of all brands, the app has facilitated more than 382,000 green trips and planned over 176 million green kilometres. To date, over 1.3 million kilowatt-hours of energy have been dispensed through the app, reflecting its practical utility and impact in supporting eco-friendly travel.
The platform offers seamless access to EV charging services, enabling users to locate, reserve, and pay for charging sessions through a single interface. In addition, it features user-generated ratings and reviews for charging stations, helping improve transparency and charging experiences across the board.
According to Neha Jain, Head of EV Ecosystem, JSW MG Motor India, “The growing adoption of our eHub by MG app reflects Indian consumers’ readiness to embrace a comprehensive EV ecosystem. Customers find this app intuitive and easy to use, helping them undertake EV trips with confidence, echoing our message of ‘EV Sahi Hai’. Our focus on building the widest and most interoperable charging network while prioritizing user convenience demonstrates our commitment to accelerating EV adoption and fostering a cleaner, greener future.”
This digital milestone complements JSW MG Motor India’s broader momentum in the passenger EV market. The company has seen its market share grow from 28 percent in the first quarter of 2025 to 32 percent in the second quarter, with a 28 percent rise in overall electric vehicle wholesales.
The success of the eHub by MG app is also aligned with the brand’s ongoing public initiative, ‘EV Sahi Hai’, which aims to educate and inspire adoption of EVs across India.
The campaign promotes not only the environmental benefits but also the economic savings associated with switching to electric mobility.
As India strengthens its EV ecosystem, JSW MG Motor India remains at the forefront, acting as a key enabler in one of the world’s most promising clean energy transitions. The rapid scaling of platforms like eHub by MG confirms that the country is ready for a mass shift in transport and infrastructure. With rising consumer acceptance, expanding charging infrastructure, and public-private collaborations, electric mobility is no longer a distant goal, it is the next big revolution in global transport.
