BYD India celebrating the anniversary of the BYD SEAL launch and has announced an upgrade for the BYD ATTO 3 for the model year 2025. Additionally, bookings for the ATTO 3 Model Year 2025 have commenced, with an initial fee of INR 30,000. The first 3,000 customers will benefit from the vehicle being offered at 2024 ex-showroom prices.
The BYD lineup in India reflects the company’s dedication to innovation, performance, and environmental stewardship. The BYD India portfolio comprises of the newly launched BYD SEALION 7, the BYD ATTO 3 eSUV, the BYD eMAX 7 eMPV, and the BYD SEAL.
Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles (EPV) Business at BYD India, elaborated on the announcements, stating, “The upgrades to the BYD SEAL and BYD ATTO 3 mark a significant advancement in our dedication to the Indian market. By prioritizing innovation and technology, we have implemented enhancements that improve every facet of the driving experience. We are confident that these advancements will reinforce BYD’s leadership in the electric vehicle revolution.”
The Model Year 2025 upgrades for the BYD ATTO 3 and BYD SEAL are designed to enhance both driver and passenger experiences.
The BYD ATTO 3 has achieved sales exceeding 3,100 units since its launch, focusing on enhancing performance, comfort, technology, and the overall driving experience, further demonstrating BYD’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. In comparison, the BYD SEAL has recorded sales of 1,300 units in its inaugural year.
Among the various updates, the BYD ATTO 3 now features a superior, long-lasting Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) low-voltage battery, which is six times lighter than traditional low-voltage batteries, has five times better self-discharge characteristics, and boasts an impressive lifespan of 15 years.
The BYD ATTO 3 Premium is priced at Rs 29.85 Lakh for a 60.48 kWh battery capacity, offering a range of 521 km with an ARAI-tested range of 480 km. Furthermore, the BYD ATTO 3 Superior is available for the price of Rs 33.99 Lakh.
In terms of performance the BYD SEAL also sees the debut of the innovative DiSus-C system. This intelligent damping system provides enhanced stability and comfort by dynamically adjusting the dampers based on thousands of inputs per second. DiSus-C improves comfort by softening the suspension on bumpy roads and enhances handling by stiffening it during dynamic manoeuvres like cornering, acceleration, and braking.
The BYD SEAL also receives a significant upgrade in its entertainment system. All BYD SEAL models now support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration, allowing drivers to access their favourite apps and content effortlessly. The interiors of the BYD SEAL are now equipped with an all-new sound wave function. It produces an analog sound that stimulates sound waves to optimise the driving experience and improve the acoustic experience inside the cabin.
Bookings for BYD SEAL 2025 start from 11th March 2025 at INR 1,25,000. Pricing for all the MY2025 BYD SEAL variants will be announced in April 2025.
