New Delhi, May 04, 2026: Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of the French automaker Renault Group, has begun FY2027 on a strong and promising note, registering an impressive year-on-year growth of 108% in April 2026. The company reported total domestic wholesales of 5,413 units, more than doubling from 2,602 units sold in April 2025, underscoring a sharp turnaround in market momentum and customer demand. This strong performance reflects Renault India’s sustained growth trajectory driven by a refreshed product portfolio and enhanced customer engagement strategies. The momentum has been building steadily since the launch of the new-generation Renault Triber and Renault Kiger in September 2025. Both models have witnessed consistent demand across urban and semi-urban markets, appealing to a wide spectrum of customers with their improved design, feature enhancements, and value-driven positioning. Their strong acceptance in the market has played a pivotal role in delivering continued double-digit growth for the brand.
Adding further impetus to this upward trend is the recent launch of the much-anticipated Renault Duster. The SUV has received an encouraging initial response from customers and enthusiasts alike, with demand picking up rapidly within the very first week of deliveries, which commenced toward the latter half of April. The Duster’s strong brand recall, combined with its updated styling, features, and performance credentials, has helped Renault re-enter the competitive SUV segment with renewed confidence. In response to the rising demand and growing customer base, Renault India has been actively strengthening its nationwide network footprint. The company recently inaugurated a new ‘new’R’ retail outlet along with a state-of-the-art workshop facility, designed to elevate the overall customer journey—from purchase to aftersales service. This expansion is part of Renault’s broader strategy to improve accessibility, enhance service efficiency, and ensure a seamless ownership experience for its customers.
Renault India’s continued focus on innovation, product localization, and customer-centric initiatives has been instrumental in driving this growth. The company remains committed to delivering high-quality, feature-rich vehicles tailored to the evolving preferences of Indian consumers, while also investing in digital transformation and retail modernization. Looking ahead, Renault India aims to build on this strong start to the fiscal year by further expanding its product lineup, deepening market penetration, and strengthening partnerships with dealers and stakeholders. With a clear focus on sustainable growth and customer satisfaction, the company is well-positioned to reinforce its presence in the highly competitive Indian automotive landscape while continuing to deliver value-driven mobility solutions.
