Bengaluru, August 25, 2026: Zoomcar and Uber have partnered to make road-trip planning more convenient by bringing self-drive and chauffeur-driven intercity travel options together on the Zoomcar app. Under the partnership, travelers searching for a self-drive vehicle on Zoomcar will also be able to discover and book Uber Intercity rides if they prefer to travel with a chauffeur. This gives users the flexibility to compare both options in one place and select the mode that best suits their journey. The collaboration covers one-way and round trips on select routes and is currently live in Bengaluru, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, with plans to expand to more cities.
Two travel options, one platform -The partnership brings together two complementary ways of travelling. Travelers who enjoy driving can choose a Zoomcar self-drive vehicle, while those looking for a more relaxed journey can opt for an Uber Intercity chauffeur-driven ride. This allows the same traveler to make different choices depending on the nature of each trip. For example, they may prefer to drive themselves on a weekend getaway but choose a chauffeur-driven car for a family visit or a longer journey.
Zoomcar CEO Deepankar Tiwari said the partnership is aimed at giving travelers greater freedom of choice by allowing them to explore both self-drive and chauffeur-driven options without leaving the Zoomcar platform.
Rishant Ghosh, Director of Consumer & Growth, Uber India & South Asia, said demand for Uber Intercity is growing across both metro and Tier-2 markets, with more Indians choosing road trips for weekend getaways, family visits and holidays. The partnership will make Uber Intercity accessible to more travelers looking for convenient and comfortable outstation travel.
Focus on access ov
The partnership also reflects a broader shift in how Indian consumers approach mobility. Instead of relying solely on vehicle ownership, travelers are increasingly choosing flexible, on-demand transportation based on their specific needs.
By combining self-drive and chauffeur-driven options, Zoomcar and Uber aim to give travelers greater flexibility, convenience and choice, allowing them to select the right mobility solution for every journey.
