NEW DELHI, 12 December 2025: Omega Seiki Mobility is stepping up its bet on autonomous transport, targeting the deployment of 1,500 self-driving electric vehicles over the next two years as it expands in India’s fast-evolving mobility sector. The company on Friday introduced Swayamgati Cargo, which it calls the world’s first autonomous electric cargo three-wheeler, priced at an introductory price of ₹4.15 lakh.
Omega Seiki’s rollout at the Pimpri Chinchwad complex of Ador Powertron, a provider of advanced power electronics solutions, during the Quench Energising India Summit 2025, showcased the company’s ambition to be an early mover in low-speed autonomous logistics.
In the near future, analysts say a segment is gaining traction across industrial zones, airports, tech parks, and e-commerce hubs seeking to efficiently move goods within controlled environments.
Built for Controlled Environments
The Swayamgati Cargo builds on the company’s passenger autonomy platform, adapting it for repetitive cargo routes. The vehicle combines an in-house electric drivetrain with an AI-enabled autonomy system that uses Lidar, GPS, multi-sensor fusion, and geofenced navigation to detect and avoid obstacles within six metres. Deliveries are set to begin this quarter.
With a 120-kilometre range and a compact design suited to high-density industrial spaces, Omega Seiki is positioning the vehicle for factory logistics, airport ground handling, and last-mile campus mobility.
India’s Cost Case for Autonomy
Founder and Chairman Uday Narang said the launch reflects a broader push to make autonomy financially viable for Indian enterprises.
“Autonomous logistics is the next frontier,” he said. “With this platform, we’re demonstrating that advanced mobility systems can be developed and produced in India at a cost point that supports commercial adoption,” Narang informed
Chief Strategy Officer Vivek Dhawan added that Swayamgati Cargo addresses growing demand for predictable, round-the-clock material movement.
“Dense, dynamic environments are exactly where India needs automation,” he said. “Our goal is to make autonomy a practical business decision, not a futuristic concept.”
From Pilots to Production
The cargo platform follows a pilot program in which a prototype completed a three-kilometre autonomous route with multiple stops and real-time obstacle detection. Commercial deployment will begin across industrial and enterprise campuses in early 2026.
The launch comes at a time of accelerating global demand for autonomous solutions. The market is projected to reach $620 billion by 2030, with low-speed logistics expected to be among the fastest-growing segments. In India, the spread of integrated industrial parks and manufacturing clusters is fuelling interest in automation that reduces labour intensity and increases operational uptime.
Manufacturing and Scale
Omega Seiki’s production network includes facilities in Faridabad and Pune, along with an assembly plant in Dubai’s Jafza free zone that supports exports to Asia and Africa. The company operates more than 200 dealerships and service centers across India to maintain and support enterprise fleets.

With Swayamgati Cargo, Omega Seiki Mobility adds a new layer to its electric vehicle lineup and moves closer to building what it calls the foundation of India’s autonomous logistics ecosystem. The company’s scale-up plan signals a clear view that autonomous EVs are ready to move from test tracks to factory floors—and that India’s industrial corridors are ready for them.
