Bengaluru: 25th April 2025
Indofast Energy, in collaboration with Green Tiger Mobility, is converting 11 popular internal combustion engine (ICE) two-wheelers, including Hero, Honda, Suzuki, TVS, and Yamaha, to electric vehicles via battery swapping technology.
This service, which will be rolled out initially in Bengaluru and then scaled across 15 cities, including Delhi NCR, aims to assist quick commerce delivery executives in transitioning their ICE scooters to electric, with initial operations set to launch in Bangalore at an estimated cost of Rs 10,000.
Ashish Dokania, the founder of Green Tiger Mobility, stated that their retrofit solution, which includes all regulatory requirements, “bridges the gap between sustainability and practicality” by allowing people to convert their existing vehicles rather than purchasing new ones.
Green Tiger Mobility’s product offerings have been approved by ARAI and are supported by government ministries and educational institutions. Rajat Malhan, Senior Vice President at Indofast Energy, stated that such innovative initiatives will help to reduce fuel costs, lower emissions, and contribute to India’s electric vehicle adoption goals.
