
PUNE, May 30, 2025: Bajaj Auto has allocated nearly Rs 420 crores of its Rs 700 crores in capital expenditures for EV research, development, and support of the launch of new EV products.
Chief Financial Officer Dheeraj Thapar made this statement during a conference call with analysts yesterday to discuss the company’s performance. Additionally, he said that the company is confident in its ability to dominate the electric two-wheeler market with its Chetak, which saw record sales of 2,30,761 units last year—a 116% increase.

Bajaj’s market share for electric two-wheelers has nearly doubled, rising from 11% in FY24 to 20% in FY25, as its Chetak became the best-selling electric scooter in the last quarter of FY25.
The company has been in the electric three-wheeler business for the last 15 to 18 months, and because of the strong demand from urban and semi-urban markets, its Go-Go electric three-wheeler sales have been rising in all markets.
The popular GoGo P7012 model, which has an ex-showroom price of 3.83 lakh, attempts to offer urban and semi-urban areas a reliable, eco-friendly, and efficient form of transportation.

The Go GO model is the first to support features like LED lights, Hill Hold Assist, and auto-hazard and anti-roll detection. It can go 251 kilometres on a single charge and has a full metal body design.
Supported by resurgent volumes of its ICE premium motorcycle brands like Triumph and KTM, Bajaj Auto, which has seen a 6% increase in motorcycle registrations overall, also achieved its lifetime high turnover of Rs 50,000 crore, which was 12% up year over year.
Bajaj reported revenues of Rs 12,148 crore for the final quarter of fiscal year 25, up 6% year over year. EBITDA also increased 6% to Rs 2,451 crore, registering a 20% margin.
