New Delhi, May 13, 2026: Musashi India Pvt. Ltd. has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Kinetic Green Energy & Power Solutions to supply integrated electric powertrain systems for the company’s upcoming two-wheeler platforms. The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening both companies’ commitment to accelerating electric mobility adoption in India.Under the partnership, Musashi India will supply a side-mounted e-Axle — a fully integrated powertrain solution that combines the motor, gearbox, and controller (VCU and MCU) into a single compact unit. The solution is designed for Kinetic Green’s next-generation electric two-wheelers, offering enhanced efficiency, performance, and durability.
Pilot batch deliveries are scheduled to begin in December 2026, with full-scale production to follow at Musashi Delta e-Axle India’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. The integrated system features a 4.7 kW Interior Permanent Magnet (IPM) motor paired with a gearbox in a side-mounted e-Axle configuration. By leveraging Musashi’s expertise in drivetrain integration, the compact design is expected to deliver improved range, optimize battery sizing and costs, and reduce service and maintenance requirements compared with conventional centre- and hub-mounted systems. The side-mounted architecture also enables additional luggage space, enhancing practicality for consumers.
“This LOI marks an important milestone in our journey to support India’s transition to electric mobility,” said Naoya Nishimura, CEO of Musashi India and the Africa region. “Our integrated powertrain solution reflects Musashi’s focus on innovation, efficiency, and reliability. We are pleased to partner with Kinetic Green and look forward to building a long-term collaboration that brings advanced mobility technologies to the market.”
