MUMBAI, 12th November 2025: Tesla is quickly expanding its after-sales and service network in India after selling 40 cars in October, bringing the total number of units delivered to 104 since launch. The company has opened its first official collision repair centre in Mumbai, in collaboration with the Gautam Modi Group, as it prepares for a larger rollout in key metro markets.
The facility, located in Kalina, is Tesla’s first approved collision centre in India and is fully equipped to handle factory-specified repairs and restorations.

The move signals Tesla’s intent to establish a full-fledged ownership experience, covering sales, service, and support, as it gradually scales operations in the country.
According to sources, Tesla plans to open additional service and repair centres in Bengaluru and Delhi, leveraging a partnership-driven model with local dealer groups to meet growing customer demand.

Senior Tesla India officials inaugurated the Mumbai workshop alongside Gautam Modi, Managing Director, Gautam Modi Group, and Nidhi Modi, Director, marking what they described as a milestone in EV customer care and after-sales service.
“This collaboration exemplifies a shared commitment to raising service benchmarks and advancing the electric vehicle ecosystem in India,” informed Gautam Modi, adding that the group remains dedicated to precision and excellence in the automotive sector.
Tesla said that the Mumbai facility employs Tesla-trained technicians and uses international-standard equipment for collision and structural repairs.
“For structural integrity and quality assurance, it is crucial to use a Tesla-approved body repair centre, as they have the necessary factory training and equipment to rebuild vehicles to original specifications,” a company official said.
