Turin, May 23, 2025: The TRIS, an electric three-wheeled cargo vehicle from the Stellantis Group, brand Fiat Professional, which is distinguished by its Ducato and Doblò light commercial vehicles, marks FIAT’s first global entry into the micromobility market.

The TRIS is a 90-kilometre-range, fully electric vehicle designed at FIAT’s Centro Stile design centre in Italy and is meant for last-mile business-to-business (B2B) deliveries in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets which are increasingly looking for zero emission based transportation solutions.

The TRIS can reach a top speed of 45 km/h thanks to its 48-volt electric motor, which has a maximum torque of 45 Nm and a peak power of 9 kW. With a wide track rear axle, an extended wheelbase, and 12-inch tyres, its optimised design guarantees stability and makes it perfect for both urban and rural environments.

According to company representatives, the vehicle is meant to be a cost-effective, ultra-light commercial option.

Olivier Francois, the CEO of FIAT and the global chief marketing officer for Stellantis, stated that FIAT Professional seeks to usher in a new era of small electric vehicles designed to tackle common urban problems.

“TRIS is not merely a new vehicle—it represents a significant shift in our approach to urban mobility. It emerges from Italian creativity at the Centro Stile and is engineered to meet the demands of daily life. As cities expand and the necessity for clean, accessible transportation intensifies, we recognised an opportunity to provide something radically simple yet profoundly useful.”

He also underlined that TRIS satisfies this need by providing low-income communities, independent contractors, and small enterprises with an affordable, emission-free way to advance.

“TRIS is positioned to transform last-mile mobility and open up new avenues for social inclusion and economic empowerment with its launch in the Middle East and Africa. We believe its potential extends even further—Europe could be next, as this type of smart, sustainable solution resonates universally.” Added Francois.

Because of its small size (3.17 m) and small turning radius (3.05 m), it can easily manoeuvre through small city streets. Additionally roomy is the cargo area, which can hold a standard euro pallet and has a load area of about 2.25 square metres. It also has an RCE-homologated payload capacity of up to 540 kg and a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 1,025 kg.
Among the many cutting-edge features of TRIS is a modern 5.7-inch digital display that shows important driving information like battery life and distance to empty. With a USB-C port and a 12V socket, the car also prioritises power accessibility, enabling devices to be charged while travelling. Its LED lighting system, which incorporates FIAT’s new signature pixel design, guarantees exceptional visibility while enhancing its unique styling.

With three-point seat belts (per EU safety regulations), front LED lights with ignition-activated low beams, a reverse buzzer, and a washer tank, TRIS conforms with European homologation standards.

With a 6.9 kWh capacity and a 90 km homologated range (WMTC), the lithium battery offers sufficient autonomy for everyday professional use in a variety of urban and suburban settings.

Importantly, the battery technology utilised in the Fiat Topolino is the same reliable and tested technology. It has been adapted to meet the particular requirements of professional applications, and vehicles that are currently in use attest to its practical performance.

Using a standard home outlet, TRIS’s integrated smart charging system allows it to be fully charged in 4 hours and 40 minutes and charge from 0% to 80% in just 3.5 hours. Samir Cherfan, the Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis for the Middle East and Africa, stated that additional developments are being planned because TRIS, like other FIAT Professional vehicles, will provide connected services.

“Stellantis is committed to the micromobility industry despite the MEA region’s rapidly growing mobility demands. Motivated by our desire to bring about change, we are increasing our investments in this sector, which goes beyond just moving people; it is a major driver of inclusion and regional economic growth,” Cherfan said.

He added that since micromobility supports local economies, improves logistics, and helps entrepreneurs, the electric three-wheeler is perfect for last-mile delivery to digital platform services.
