Ather Energy Limited, a frontrunner in India’s electric two-wheeler market, has introduced a new variant of its performance-focused 450S with an enhanced IDC range of 161 km, powered by a 3.7 kWh battery pack. The launch further expands the 450 series lineup and makes long-range electric mobility more accessible to a broader segment of riders.
Bridging Performance and Accessibility
Priced at ₹145,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the 450S 3.7 kWh aims to fill the gap between the entry-level 450S 2.9 kWh and the premium 450X. The variant caters to those seeking high performance and longer riding range without opting for software-intensive premium models.

Performance and Handling
The new variant retains the DNA of the 450 lineup—sporty design, angular bodywork, and LED headlamps—while maintaining performance standards. It features a 5.4 kW motor delivering 22 Nm torque, accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and achieves a top speed of 90 km/h. With four riding modes—Smart Eco, Eco, Ride, and Sport—the 450S enables riders to strike a balance between efficiency and performance.
Feature-Rich and Connected
The 450S 3.7 kWh is equipped with a 7-inch DeepView Display, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, and automatic brightness adjustment. Safety and convenience features include AutoHold, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal, tow and theft alerts, auto indicator cut-off, “Find My Scooter,” and Amazon Alexa integration. All features are powered by AtherStack Pro and supported via over-the-air (OTA) updates.
Charging Convenience and Range Confidence
The variant supports home charging with 0–80% charge time in 4 hours and 30 minutes and provides seamless access to the Ather Grid network, which spans over 3,300 fast-charging points across India.
Long-Term Warranty and Service Network
Like all Ather scooters, the new 450S is backed by the Ather Eight70 program, which offers an optional 8-year or 80,000 km warranty, assuring 70% battery health throughout ownership. Buyers will benefit from Ather’s nationwide experience centres for test rides, purchases, and service support.
Booking and Availability
The 450S with the 3.7 kWh battery pack will be available at ₹148,047 (ex-showroom) in Delhi, ₹148,258 in Mumbai, ₹145,999 in Bengaluru, and ₹147,312 in Chennai—placing it competitively in the extended-range performance electric scooter segment, while upholding Ather’s core value proposition for performance-oriented riders.
