Ellysium Automotives, the Auto arm of United Arab Emirates based group company META4 Group, has announced the launch of its EV two-wheeler brand in India – EVeium.
Earlier Elysium Automotives used to promote the British EV two-wheeler brand One Moto in India, but reportedly Elysium Automotives did not receive the expected support from the British mobility company, and as a result, withdrew its association with the British brand.
To kick start its new journey, EVeium plans to launch 3 electric scooters within one month. EVeium will be a complete Made-in-India brand, with all scooters of EVeium manufactured at the META4 group’s Voltly Energy manufacturing plant. Voltly Energy recently signed an MOU with Telangana Government to acquire a 15-acre land in Zaheerabad, Telangana to setup the manufacturing unit dedicatedly for electric vehicles. The brand has plans to invest over INR 250 cr to set up the plant which will be functional by the end of this fiscal year.
EVeium shall work towards providing users with the finest array of EV offerings including- Electric scooters, Bicycle, electric bike etc. Understanding the current scenario where there have been multiple entrants in the space, the level of localization is still low. To be able to drive the e-mobility mission with Indian Government “Panchamrit” vision Ellysium Automotives launched the 100% Indian electric vehicle venture . EVeium will be providing their own telematics app which will provide features such as Digi locker ,Nearest Charging Station Location, Geo-Fencing etc..

EVeium has already started onboarding dealers and is determined to have its presence in Maharashtra, Gujrat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Delhi- NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal by the end of fiscal 2022-23 as a part of its initial expansion plan.
