Tech Mahindra, a well-known company that offers digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering services and solutions, has joined the MIH (Mobility in Harmony) Consortium, which was started by Foxconn and is an open electric vehicle (EV) coalition that encourages collaboration in the mobility industry. The partnership will prioritize the creation of the next generation of electric vehicles, autonomous driving technologies, and mobility service applications to deliver value for stakeholders in the mobility industry.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tech Mahindra will help MIH develop the architecture and platforms for software-defined automobiles. It will also use its software, design development, and consulting skills to bring value to customers and stakeholders. The partnership will also focus on using key technologies and making reference designs and standards to fill in gaps for alliance members. This will make it possible to come up with new ideas quickly and speed up the development process. Tech Mahindra's Global Head – of Integrated Engineering Services, Narasimham RV, stated, "The Indian Electric Vehicle market is projected to develop at a CAGR of 65.1% over the next five years" (2022-2029). Tech Mahindra wants to help with this growth, and our partnership with the MIH Consortium is a step in the right direction. Together with the MIH Consortium, we will come up with smart, creative, and environmentally friendly ways to move people and goods so that EV cars can be a reality by 2025. We are certain that our technical knowledge in the automotive industry and decades of experience in the field of engineering, together with MIH Consortium's significant expertise in mobility, will contribute to the generation of ground-breaking outcomes in the EV market."
Jack Cheng, Chief Executive Officer of the MIH Consortium, stated, "We at MIH are thrilled to have Tech Mahindra join our Consortium, as they bring over 26 years of automotive domain expertise to the table. Their knowledge of EV car technology could help the alliance and its members reach their goal of creating an open EV ecosystem that makes it easier for people to work together in the mobility industry. I anticipate Tech Mahindra to be a crucial member of this partnership and look forward to welcoming them into the alliance. "
This agreement is consistent with Tech Mahindra's focus on digital growth. Under the NXT.NOWTM framework, which aims to improve the 'Human Centric Experience,' Tech Mahindra invests in developing technologies and solutions that enable digital transformation and satisfy the changing needs of the consumer.
