India, March 18, 2025: In a strategic move to enhance its footprint in the Heavy-Duty Electric Trucks sector, Billion Electric has appointed its Chief Operating Officer, Sanjeev Kulkarni, as the new Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he will oversee the expansion of Billion Electric’s e-MaaS business, including electric trucks and buses for airport tarmacs. Additionally, the company has named Pirojshaw Sarkari (Phil) the head of its Advisory Council, further bolstering its leadership structure.
The founders of Billion Electric have expressed confidence in Sanjeev’s extensive leadership experience, spanning over thirty years in the automotive and manufacturing industries, which they believe will be instrumental in driving business growth, product innovation, and strategic implementation.
Commenting on his new position, Sanjeev stated, “Our primary objective will be to scale our E-MaaS business by collaborating with various corporate clients through our range of Electric Trucks for inter-city transport, enhancing operational efficiency, and strengthening partnerships with OEMs and fleet operators.
